A little bit of history.
When Caroline met Yvonna...
It's 1993 in South West London. Caroline is a painter, having graduated in Interior Design from Chelsea College of Art, and having gone back to her fine art roots. Yvonna is working with the Design Council sourcing innovative British design for Japan. When Caroline spotted a car with a flat tyre and offered the driver, Yvonna, a lift, by complete coincidence their paths through life crossed, Immediately they clicked!
The first collection...
A couple of months later, Yvonna was let down by a designer, and Caroline stepped in to save the day. She designed a range of greetings cards using metal wire. So innovative were they in their simplicity that they took the design world by storm.
Two decades later, and Caroline has grown the business into one of the most exciting design companies in the UK. The Archive card range (based on Caroline’s original wire cards) is still available today, as the company has flourished so there is now so much more on offer, from home fragrance to scarves, cushions and leather handbags.
The overarching concept is that of contemporary and unexpected design, defined by Caroline’s core design principals.
‘Whether it is a distinctive colour clash or the quirkiness of placement, there’s something about our designs that set us apart from the ordinary.’
