Brilliant Bamboo

01 March 2019

Purchasing ethical and environmentally friendly products is becoming evermore prominent in our society. As consumers we are much more conscious of what we are buying and what things are made from. This is why we are excited to introduce new bamboo fibre products in our SS19 ranges.

Bamboo is great to work with as it is a sustainable material and has many desirable features. Did you know bamboo is the fastest growing plant on the planet?! It can grow up to 91cm a day!
Bamboo releases 30% more oxygen into the atmosphere and absorbs more carbon dioxide compared to any other plants. Because of this bamboo greatly decreases the amount of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere and cleans the air.
It is technically a type of grass and has greater tensile strength (resistance to being pulled apart) than steel, and withstands compression better than concrete.
Our SS19 bamboo range includes a coffee cup and lunchbox available in two different prints. Made from a blend of bamboo, corn and wood fibres they only require a minimal amount of melamine to act as a binder.
So it’s time to swap disposable single use cups for our new reusable coffee cup. With a fun contrast screw-on lid and heat resistant band our colourful coffee cups are sure to brighten up those dull mornings when ordering your morning coffee fix.

Our lunch boxes are perfect for taking sandwiches, sushi and a salad into work or out on a picnic all in one neat container. Taking lunch to work is a great way to reduce packaging waste, use up leftovers and save money. The box is also great to store leftovers in the fridge too. So swap your plastic tupperware with our great bamboo lunch box and do your bit to be eco-friendly.
