Our vibrant new leather bag range has arrived and what better way to promote it than photograph it outside a disused petrol station! Before you scratch your head in disbelief, it isn’t just any disused petrol station. The designers Craig & Karl have transformed this location in London’s White City into a multi-coloured canvas that pumps life back into the area.
With the colourful petrol station located directly between Television Centre, the BBC’s former headquarters, and White City Palace, the former BBC Media Village the bright hues adapted from a television card pay homage to two of London’s redeveloped media institutions.
The vibrant, striped sections of painted colour that flow throughout this design gave us plenty of opportunity to experiment with our block colour leather bags and captures the feel of hot sultry evenings lounging in beach bars, sipping cocktails and watching the sun go down.
Craig Redman and Karl Maier live in different parts of the world, with one residing in New York whilst the other calls London his home but manage to collaborate on a daily basis to create this bold work that is filled with simple messages and executed in a thoughtful and humorous way.
HERE AFTER is the design duo’s first major public artwork in London; however, they are no strangers to working on huge projects for some of the world’s most recognisable celebrities and brands, from Kanye West and Grace Jones to Nike, Google and the Washington Post.
We are certain that it won’t be long before you see more of their colourful designs across the city and we cannot wait!
