With another Graduate Fashion Week behind us, we are thrilled to announce that two talented graduates will be showcasing their work in store. Remember, you saw them here first!
Having launched the careers of world-renowned designers such as Christopher Bailey MBE, Stella McCartney and Julien Macdonald, Graduate Fashion Week is the leading event celebrating the creativity of the next generation of designers within fashion.
To support the future of creative design talent we are so proud to be able to showcase the amazing work of two of these graduates.
In designing her final collection Chloe posed the question; who has the power, the possession, the confidence to wear such a thing that draws eyes from all around the room? Colour allows you to be playful, draw a crowd and create space, which we at Caroline Gardner could not agree more with and it was this bold use of colour in her collection that we felt so perfectly compliments our SS17 printed bags.
Chloe’s use of bright and bold colours is a great way to have fun with your outfit and allows you to carry a print on your arm. We love clashing colours so couldn’t help but pair the Green Abstract Ditsy pom pom clutch with the bright pink dress and the orange pom poms on the stripe clutch with the emerald green. If the bright colour of the outfit is brave enough for you then the easy geo print bags or black leather satchel offer more of a subtle compliment.
Chloe was inspired by overgrowing plant life and massive exotic leaves with pops of pinks, oranges and yellows that scatter the trees in colourful flurries; adding feminine charm to an otherwise wild atmosphere. It was this element of bold print application and dramatic silhouettes that drew us to Chloe’s collection, which works perfectly paired with our leather bags and accessories, where organic meets structured.
The exotic leaf inspired prints from Chloe are the perfect match to some of our favourite leatehr bags this Summer. We picked out bold highlight colours from the prints to select the bag colours, but mixed them up to compliment each dress; taking orange from one print and pairing it back with tropical green leaves and taking green from another print to contrast with the oange in another. The versatile black Hoxton Leather Satchel goes with everything, but we gave it a twist in the window but adding a yelllow cross body strap. How will you customise yours?
