After weeks of preparation, Christmas is finally here and we want to share with you our top tips for making this the most memorable one ever!
Enjoy the build up
Sometimes the best thing about Christmas is the run up to the big day. Don’t let all the little things that make this time of year extra special pass you by.
Don’t try and do everything!
If you’re playing host this Christmas why not ask family members for a helping hand? You’d be surprised how quickly you can get through time consuming tasks like peeling veggies when there’s a few of you!
We know that Christmas is all about relaxing on the sofa after a huge meal, whilst you work your way through an enormous box of chocolates, but if you find the time for a brisk walk over the festive season not only will it help you work off those extra roast potatoes but leave you feeling energized as well.
With all the celebrations it’s sometimes easy to end up feeling exhausted by the beginning of January, so make sure you get some good quality sleep and you’ll feel ready and refreshed when the New Year comes round.
Try to not leave all your wrapping and present buying to the last minute - whilst others are rushing around trying to get everything ready, you’ll be able to kick back with a glass of mulled wine!
The easiest way to make this Christmas memorable is to start a new tradition. You could invite your family or friends to each buy a new decoration for the tree or create a new winter spiced drink - this way you’ll have something to look forward to each year.
Keep it simple
Sometimes the best thing to do is simplify your Christmas plans. If you over-stretch yourself with activities, shopping, and traveling, you’ll feel stressed and will miss out on all the great things the festive seasons brings!
Don’t worry about perfection
Sometimes we avoid inviting friends over at Christmas unless everything is perfect - the right food and drink, the house completely decorated and cleaned etc. Let that go and enjoy spontaneous get-togethers, the most important thing is simply spending some time together.
Buy gifts mindfully
Don’t purchase a gift just for the sake of having something to give. Buy something that you think the recipient will really enjoy.
Make Christmas Day last
Instead of ripping into gifts and rushing through the morning, open gifts one-at-a-time. Enjoy the real pleasure of giving and receiving gifts.
Most importantly have a fantastic day and we wish you a very Merry Christmas!
