Christmas can be lonely
Every year, over 500,000 over 60s spend the festive season alone (stats: AgeUK), and a shocking 370,000 over 75s feel lonely every day of the year. It’s predicted that by 2030, 40% of all elderly people will feel lonely on a daily basis, so at Caroline Gardner, we’ve decided to take a stand - and you can help.
what’s give to give?
Everyone loves receiving a thoughtful Christmas card. They show that someone’s thinking of you, and that you’re not alone. Give to Give is a collaboration between you, Caroline Gardner and AgeUK Westminster that’s sending good wishes and festive cheer to the people who need it the most. As a company who creates a lot of cards, we thought this would be a meaningful way to do something with the things we have in excess.
Partnering with AgeUK Westminster and local school St Paul's on their long standing Christmas lunch delivery scheme. Last year Caroline Gardner gathered over 400 Christmas messages in the run up to the festive period, turning them in to a personal Christmas card. Each recipient receives a Christmas lunch and Christmas card delivered by the school pupils and volunteers who generously give their time to share part of Christmas Day with those who might otherwise see nobody.
Give a message and we'll give a card.
