The environment and Caroline Gardner

These days everyone should be conscious of their carbon footprint and we are no exception.  Wherever possible we endeavour to 'stay local'. In practice this means that we try to source and manufacture as much as we can in the UK.  In fact all our cards, wrapping paper and envelopes are designed, printed and made in England.  The board we use is made to our exclusive specification in the English Lake District, in this 160 years old mill.  The paper mill has the highest levels of accreditation, including FSC.  we insist that only fibre pulp from sustainable sources is used, and that the paper is manufactured using only elemental chlorine free (ECF) methods.   From the lakes it is sent southward to be printed upon in the northern home counties in England, and then, the finished items are sent on a little westward, to our warehouse in the Forest of Dean, Gloucestershire. Where they are lovingly packed up, and made ready for delivery, directly to you, wherever and whenever they are needed...
