Customer Service & Sales Administrator

This exciting position has arisen within the dynamic sales team at Caroline Gardner.  As a key player in the greetings card and gift industry, our portfolio of accounts includes some of the most prolific retailers in the UK. Caroline Gardner is a brand leader in the greetings card and stationery market, whose range has now extended to include a wide range of accessories and gifts for the home. In addition Caroline Gardner has a second brand, called Red Label, which is supplied through brokers to all the main supermarkets and other High Street multiples.

Job Specification

The role: Working closely with a tight knit sales team you will be responsible for processing orders, and providing outstanding customer service to our lovely retailers and sales agents on a daily basis by managing enquiries quickly and efficiently.  You will be responsible for your own set of sales agents, looking after their needs, and aiding them in the management of their accounts.    General office and receptionist duties form an important part of the role, including meeting and greeting guest and answering the telephone, alongside providing ad lib support to senior members of the team. This position offers real responsibility and an exciting role for an ambitious team player.

The successful candidate will be highly motivated, organised and a good team player with the ability to work under tight deadlines in a dynamic and changing environment. They should have excellent attention to detail and organisation skills as well as a commitment to providing excellent customer service. 

Skills/Abilities/Knowledge

Would like to have:

  • Sage experience
  • Proof reading experience
  • Experience within the gifting market
  • Experience of an office environment
  • Customer Service experience
  • PA experience or similar

Must have: 

  • Passion for our brand
  • Interest in the gifting market
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Particularly Excel and Word)
  • Good organisation skills
  • Great attention to detail
  • Good numeracy skills
  • Confident and professional telephone manner
